12 Months of Transformation

 

When I’m standing at the bottom, looking up, I think of how grand this climb will be. The peaks I’ll need to navigate, the terrain I’ll cross, all leading to that incredible summit. But maybe, just maybe, it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.

On August 19, 2024, I took a bold step and signed up for a 12-month Functional Medicine Health Coaching program. Yes, the timing might seem less than ideal due to financial constraints, but something pulled me in—whether it was divine guidance, encouragement from those who believe in me, or my own deep desire to help others and make a lasting impact. Whatever the reason, I’m here, fully committed. I will succeed because there’s no other option. Even if I only help one person, I’ll know I’ve fulfilled my purpose.

So, what do I want to grow in and work on from here?

• Humility
• Vulnerability
• Kindness
• Love

I want to shift my focus from offering quick solutions to helping others discover their own. To be a coach who supports, listens, and stands by them as they find the answers within themselves.

I also want to:

• Build strength through meditation
• Reconnect wtih yoga
• Really dive into daily devotionals, not just read them but truly understand them
• Serve through my spiritual gifts
• Connect with a supportive, healthy community
• Attend meditation and yoga retreats
• Explore entrepreneurship by attending seminars and events

On a more personal level, I want to:

• Embrace a natural, holistic lifestyle
• Dive into positive psychology (seriously, it’s way deeper than it sounds)
• Get outside more, breathe fresh air, and just be
• Get certified by the NBHWC in Functional Medicine Health Coaching
• Find a Functional Medicine provider to work with

And I want to:

• Keep learning piano
• Finally graduate from JC with 3 Associates and 2 Certificates
• Look into bachelor’s programs, since I’ll be roughly 20 credits shy to finishing one

This list will change and evolve as I do. I’ll learn and unlearn along the way. But growth is about getting uncomfortable, and I’m excited for the ride!
